By juxtaposing two, separate realities artist Thomas Barbéy is able to create surreal experiences in a photograph.  But unlike many artist’s today using Photoshop as a means of layering photos, Thomas Barbéy has a more primitive approach. His process involves sandwiching negatives together, thereby printing them simultaneously; using double exposure in the camera; re-photographing of collaged photographs; and/or a combination of the above.  The result is sometimes humorous and witty and other times poignant.  To view more of Barbéy’s work or to read more about him, go to thomasbarbey.com
